As summer kicks off, North Yorkshire Water Park is ready to make a splash with an exciting line-up of activities designed for families and adventure seekers alike. With a variety of fun-filled options, the park promises a summer packed with adventure and outdoor fun for everyone.

Adventure Awaits

Located just east of Wykeham, six miles west of Scarborough, North Yorkshire Water Park has been a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts since it opened in July 2017. It started with an AquaPark, and now it has grown to include a wide range of water sports and land activities. This summer, the park is set to thrill visitors with its giant Wipeout and Warrior Aqua Parks, both featuring a host of giant slides, swings, and balance beams. These floating playgrounds are perfect for families and friends to challenge each other and enjoy hours of fun on the water.

Water-Based Activities

For those looking to cool off, the park offers several water-based activities, including:

  • Open Water Swimming: Wednesday evenings from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm for just £5 per person, in addition to Saturday and Sunday morning sessions.

  • Aquapark Tuesday Duo Pass: Enjoy a session for two on Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm for £25, which includes wetsuits.

  • Sup Club: Every Thursday night from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, bring your own paddleboard or borrow one for £10 per person, with an instructor on hand to help.

  • Flying Boarding: Available on selected dates, this thrilling activity costs £90 per person for a one-hour session.

These activities not only provide a chance to have fun but also to get active and improve fitness levels during the summer holidays. Whether it’s trying out open water swimming for the first time or perfecting paddleboarding skills, there’s something for everyone.

Land-Based Fun

Beyond the water, North Yorkshire Water Park's Adventure Wood offers a range of exciting land-based experiences. Visitors can engage in:

  • Archery: Test your aim and precision.

  • Axe Throwing: A fun and unique activity for those looking for a challenge.

  • Outdoor Laser Tag: Gather your friends for a competitive battle.

  • Climbing Wall: Scale new heights and experience the thrill of climbing.

  • Zip Line: Soar through the air for an exhilarating experience.

These activities provide a fantastic way to spend time outdoors, encouraging families to bond while trying something new and exciting.

Food and Relaxation

After an action-packed day, visitors can relax at the park's newly refurbished café, Forge Valley Roasters - Waterside. This on-site café serves hearty meals, hot drinks, and seasonal treats, making it the perfect spot to refuel and unwind. Whether grabbing a quick snack or enjoying a meal with family, the café offers a welcoming atmosphere to relax in after all the excitement.

What Visitors Are Saying

Callum Terrell, General Manager at North Yorkshire Water Park, shared his enthusiasm about the summer offerings:

“There are so many activities for families to enjoy throughout the summer. Both Aqua Parks are officially in action for the summer; it’s a great chance for families and friends to get active outdoors and take on something new together. With so much on offer, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained.”
