Taco Bell York Monks Cross DT

Very poor. Walked in and the smell was described as being like 'sweaty cheese' - though one of the younger kids with us was more graphic than that! Easy to order: variety of burritos, tacos and crunch wraps. I had the latter. Really unimpressed: tasteless and lacking any spice at all. My daughter makes far better crunch wraps so I expected more. Fries were good though. Those with tacos had similar thoughts: tasty fries but shame about how lacking in flavour the tacos were. Disappointing. For some unknown reason, it was also really cold in the building- like they'd forgotten to pop the heating on. First ever visit to taco bell. Won't be repeating it.

Service was so slow that the food was cold by the time we got it. Sunday evening and they were not busy. Glad we didn't eat in, one of the most depressing places to be in. Metal chairs and sticky tables. Good tasted okay.

It's always a pleasure visiting another taco bell, especially when they're from a different group. My job role has led me to visit taco bells all across the north and monks cross was amazing too. Amazing atmosphere, piping hot fresh and tasty food that came out in a flash but better than that, the staff were fantastic. Staff are integral in running a business such as this and the RGM was lovely and one of the staff will was too. They truly are a credit to taco bell. Live mas, from Ashton moss, Huddersfield Kingsgate, didsbury, arnedale, Preston and Rochdale!

This was my first time visiting this Taco Bell. Unfortunately it will be my last. I've been to other Taco Bells that were lovely so we were really looking forward to it. Ordering was a nightmare due to there only being 3 screens, The screens were dirty and ordering was very complicated. After we finally managed to order we moved to the seating area this was filthy! Tables were sticky and not cleared. The floor had food all over it. There was a large group of teenagers sitting in the corner who had a small amount of food but were mainly there to help themselves to the drinks machine. Which they did on many occasions. When we ordered the machine didn't print our receipt out and I wasn't sure what our order number was. When the lady called a number out I went and asked if it was our order (I told her what we had ordered) her response was "what" I repeated myself and she replied "I don't know love" so I took the bag and it was our order. The food was cold, tasteless and looked like it had been thrown together by a toddler. Nothing like the other Taco Bells we have visited in the past. The staff there were very aware of the teenagers who were sitting in the corner and just ignored the fact they were there. As a mother of 4 teenagers I know not all teenagers are bad but this group weren't there to enjoy their meals they were just there to abuse the drinks machine. They were also using bad language and throwing food at each other. I would have said something to a member of staff at the time had there been one to speak to. All the staff were behind the counter chatting and I think the customers were an inconvenience to them if I'm honest. The whole experience left us feeling we had wasted our time. We binned our food and left. Out of the hundreds of reviews I've done this is the first negative review I've ever had to leave. Major improvements needed here. Also re training for all the staff and a manager who knows how to manage would be advisable.

First time and definitely the last — avoid. The food quality was extremely poor (0/10), nowhere near what you’d expect. The atmosphere didn’t help either — it was very noisy, especially with metal chairs scraping loudly on the tiled floor the entire time. Cleanliness was also disappointing , which made the overall experience even worse. Would not recommend.
