Côte Brasserie, the popular French-inspired restaurant chain, has recently launched its most extensive menu transformation in history. This exciting change, which started on Tuesday, June 16, aims to bring back beloved dishes while introducing a range of new options that are sure to delight both regular diners and newcomers alike.

Exciting New Additions

The refreshed menu celebrates everything guests love about Côte, from affordable lunches to indulgent weekend brunches. The extensive overhaul was designed by Steve Allen, who is known for his work as Gordon Ramsay’s former Executive Chef. This new menu reaffirms Côte’s position as the UK’s leading French brasserie, showcasing a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes and occasions.

Some highlights of the new menu include:

  • Prix Fixe Menu: The much-loved Prix Fixe menu is back, offering two courses for £19.95 or three courses for £23.95, available Monday to Friday from 11.30am.

  • Breakfast and Brunch: Côte has expanded its breakfast and brunch offerings, featuring a new Free-Flow French Toast option, where diners can enjoy unlimited toppings and refills. The brunch menu is available until 2.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • New Mains: The introduction of the Plaice Frites, Côte’s own take on fish and chips, combines perfectly cooked fish with crushed petit pois and house-made tartare sauce, served alongside their signature free-flowing frites.

  • Lighter Dishes: A dedicated Lighter Mains section includes dishes under 800 calories, perfect for those looking for healthier options without sacrificing flavour.

A Taste of Tradition and Innovation

Alongside the return of familiar favourites like Duck Confit and Poulet Grillé, new recipes have been added to keep things fresh and exciting. The menu now features:

  • Fish Parmentier: A delightful twist on the classic shepherd’s pie, this dish is sure to satisfy.

  • Creamy Tomato Mafalde: A rich and comforting pasta option that is perfect for lunch or dinner.

  • Steak Haché Burger: Made from Côte Butchery beef, this burger is served with peppercorn sauce and free-flowing frites, making it a potential new signature dish.

For sharing, Côte has introduced new 'For the Table' plates, including a build-your-own Charcuterie Board featuring cheeses and cured meats imported directly from France, and Provençal Fougasse served with a variety of flavoured butters. These sharing dishes are perfect for groups looking to enjoy a meal together.

Weekend Indulgence

The new brunch menu is particularly notable, allowing guests to indulge in a leisurely meal on the weekends. The Free-Flow French Toast is a standout, letting diners pick from an array of toppings and enjoy unlimited servings. The addition of a Brunch Burger and the option of 90 minutes of free-flowing fizz makes Côte an appealing destination for those looking to treat themselves.

Chef’s Perspective

Steve Allen, Côte’s Executive Chef, expressed his excitement about the new menu:

“One of the best parts of my job is hearing what our guests think. Over the last few months, I’ve heard one thing rather clearly; guests missed some of our old favourites. We’ve brought back some of the dishes you’ve been asking for, alongside new recipes inspired by the regions, flavours, and traditions that make French food so special.”
