<p>Senior Accountant</p> <p>Full Time | Hybrid Working | York</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing and forward-thinking accountancy and business advisory firm. Working as part of a collaborative Accounts & Business Advisory team, the successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, compliance and advisory services while building strong, trusted client relationships.</p> <p>This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious practice professional looking to take on greater responsibility in a supportive environment that encourages career development and continuous learning.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>· Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout the year.</p> <p>· Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and groups.</p> <p>· Prepare management accounts and VAT returns for a range of clients.</p> <p>· Support clients with accounting and tax compliance while ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time.</p> <p>· Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to add value through additional services.</p> <p>· Promote cloud accounting solutions and support clients with digital accounting processes.</p> <p>· Work closely with managers on planning assignments, meeting deadlines and delivering excellent client service.</p> <p>· Research and apply relevant accounting standards and legislation to provide practical solutions.</p> <p>About the Candidate:</p> <p>· ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified.</p> <p>· At least three years' experience within an accountancy practice.</p> <p>· Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, Companies Act requirements and FRS 102, FRS 102 1A and FRS 105.</p> <p>· Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.</p> <p>· Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.</p> <p>· A proactive, client-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.</p> <p>What's on Offer:</p> <p>· Competitive salary - £38,000-£45,000 DOE</p> <p>· Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days home).</p> <p>· 26 days' holiday plus birthday off and flexible bank holidays.</p> <p>· Annual bonus scheme.</p> <p>· Health cash plan, life assurance and Employee Assistance Programme.</p> <p>· Enhanced salary sacrifice benefits, including holiday purchase, electric vehicle, cycle to work and technology schemes.</p> <p>· Pension scheme.</p> <p>· Free on-site parking.</p> <p>· Regular social events and a supportive, inclusive working culture with genuine opportunities for career progression.</p>
