This is a rare opportunity to join a highly ambitious commercial law firm that continues to invest heavily in both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.<br /><br />This isn't a succession role or a replacement hire. It's a strategic appointment for an experienced Family lawyer who wants the autonomy, backing and platform to build something significant.<br /><br />The successful individual will work with an established client base while helping to develop the firm's Family practice across North Yorkshire, supported by a nationally recognised brand and an extensive network of private client, corporate and commercial lawyers generating quality referrals.<br /><br />The role will include: <ul> <li>Advising high-net-worth individuals, business owners and professionals on a broad range of Family matters.</li><li>Managing complex financial remedy cases involving businesses, pensions, trusts and significant assets.</li><li>Advising on private children matters, cohabitation disputes and pre and post-nuptial agreements.</li><li>Working closely with Private Client, Corporate and Real Estate teams to provide joined-up advice to clients.</li><li>Developing relationships with accountants, financial advisers and other professional referrers.</li><li>Playing a key role in the strategic growth of the Family department across the region.</li><li>Mentoring junior lawyers and helping develop the next generation of talent.</li></ul> To be considered, you'll ideally have: <ul> <li>Qualified Solicitor with 8&#43; years PQE in Family Law.</li><li>Strong experience advising high-net-worth individuals on complex Family matters.</li><li>Demonstrable commercial awareness and a genuine interest in helping grow a practice.</li><li>An established professional network and a track record of developing client relationships.</li><li>Excellent technical, negotiation and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Previous leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous.</li><li>A client following would be welcomed but is not essential for the right individual.</li></ul> This opportunity would suit a Family Partner, Legal Director, Senior Associate or ambitious Principal Associate ready to take the next step within a business that genuinely rewards entrepreneurial thinking and long-term contribution.<br /><br />The firm has ambitious expansion plans over the coming years and continues to invest in people, technology and specialist legal services.
