Fabulous walk in the deer park, down to the lake and church. You can park in the visitor centre carparks (A & B) for free and also walk round the deer park for free. You will need to keep your dog on a short lead! Visiting the water gardens, Abbey and "closer" carparks £7 for 4hrs) will cost.
Adjacent to, but above, Fountains Abbey...beautiful walks across the deer park, splendid church.
A really interesting place to visit and have a walk around. We went when the national trust properties were closed, but still plenty to do and explore. The tea rooms were open, providing snacks, cakes and hot drinks which were enjoyed overlooking the water.
Beautiful wintery walk today, Seven Bridges Valley.
A large grass/gravel car park with loads of spaces. Can pay with cash, card or Phone app. Is free for NT members but need to scan your card to get a ticket. There is a cafe and toilets close by. Handy for visiting the lower end of the car park.
