Crossroads above Alne village... coming from Tollerton, right takes you down to Alne, straight through goes to Flawith/ Tholthorpe or left goes to Youlton and Aldwark bridge. Remains of mediaeval cross and vinegar trough from 16th C, along with a decent bench, nearest shop is Tollerton a mile down the road back towards York.
