Anston Stones Wood

I use the Parish Hall carpark when visiting here. Good stretch of woods with some clear walking paths through, frequented by dog walkers. You can go walk by the river, and there's a railway line going through with arch you can walk under. Interesting rock formations to look at with some caves there too.

Great place to walk the dog around through the woods along small cave type rock formation. There's also a wide stream that flows through the bottom of the Brook. Did this walk in winter and was very pleasant, so in spring/summer, with all the blue bells, etc, it will be amazing.

Nice walk but very overgrown. Lots of people waling their dogs or just out for a stroll.

What a lovely little walk. Streams, trees, caves. It's quite a quirky little spot that I think feels kind of prehistoric and still a bit like bit would have been a long time ago. The caves and rocks are interesting to look at, and bones, tools, and artefacts were found dating to about 10 000 years old in places. It's pretty fascinating, i think. It's worth the walk and it's free so win win.

Fantastic area with an array of landscapes for walking. Beautiful scenery and always a pleasure to walk around. Many routes to take and never get bored of it
