Inspiration • October 24th, 2025
|Fans of surreal scares and tongue-in-cheek terror are in for a treat this autumn, as the master of horror parody himself — Garth Marenghi — heads to Yorkshire with his brand-new live tour. The bestselling author, performer and self-styled “dreamweaver” is back on the road to celebrate the release of his latest novel, This Bursted Earth, the final chapter in his hit TerrorTome trilogy.

Yorkshire tour dates revealed
Marenghi will visit some of the region’s most iconic venues as part of his nationwide run, giving audiences the chance to experience his darkly comic world live on stage.
- Leeds – City Varieties Music Hall – Tuesday 28 October 2025
- Sheffield – Memorial Hall – Sunday 9 November 2025
- Scarborough – Spa Theatre – Saturday 22 November 2025
- York – Grand Opera House – Friday 13 March 2026
- Leeds – City Varieties Music Hall – Monday 30 March 2026
Each date promises a mix of readings, musings and the trademark deadpan delivery that made Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace a cult TV classic.
The final chapter of the TerrorTome trilogy
This Bursted Earth lands in bookshops on 30 October 2025, bringing the chaotic adventures of horror author Nick Steen to their explosive conclusion. Expect supernatural mayhem, warped wordplay and a few moustachioed skeletons along the way.
New horror talk-show with Mike Flanagan
Alongside the book and tour, Marenghi has also launched a new YouTube series, Garth Marenghi’s Skull-Flusher, which debuted on 24 October 2025. The first episode features a mind-bending conversation with acclaimed filmmaker Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep), promising what Marenghi himself describes as “a symposium twixt Terror Titans.”
How to get tickets
Tickets for Garth Marenghi’s This Bursted Earth Live are available now through individual venue websites and authorised ticket outlets. Yorkshire audiences can look forward to a night of gothic absurdity, bizarre wisdom and plenty of tongue-in-cheek dread — all delivered in Marenghi’s inimitable style.
