Skirlington Leisure Park

Just had a week on site and it was mostly very good but I do have one complaint and it's about the toilet block on the touring hard standing I reported twice to the lady in reception that the light in the washing up area didn't work and both times no one came to fix it. we resorted to torch lite to wash up also the block at night is in total darkness but the camping field block could easily been seen from space and there was no one on the fields

Lovely clean and tidy park. We got there late and the security gard escorted us to the caravan we hired and made sure we got in ok. We went with our 3 dogs, which was great as not all sites allow dogs. There is plenty to do, swimming, evening entertainment etc. We did go beacuse we had the dogs. It has a small on site shop and a fish and chip shop. On leaving the staff were very friendly and asked if we had a nice stay and wished us a safe journey home. The only thing from a dogs owner point of view, it would be nice to have a dog park, so dogs can have a good run around. Other than that we couldn't fault the park. We will be going back.

Fantastic site, Fantastic staff, facilities were second to none. The new refurb has took the pub out of the 80's and into the 21st century. Food was awesome too.

We recently visited Skirlington Leisure Park and overall had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the park itself is very clean and well-maintained. It’s quite a peaceful place, great for families looking to relax and escape the stress of everyday life. The environment really does help you switch off. However, there were a few areas that left us disappointed. The on-site food was poor quality, overpriced, and offered a very limited menu. We waited over an hour for our meals, only to be told that several ingredients were unavailable — and this happened more than once. While the staff were friendly, the service was incredibly slow and seemed unorganized. The swimming pool was also a letdown — very small, with no real appeal for children of any age. Unfortunately, the toilet facilities were in poor condition, which really took away from the overall experience. Lack of information during booking also give a less star - we understand how risky is erosion but.we wasn't told is not any way to walk down to the sea from the facilities. Hornsea is the closest beach, but choosing this place we also was looking to be in one place with family. This place has real potential, especially with such a relaxing atmosphere, but it needs much better food options and improved facilities to encourage guests to stay longer. We might give it another try in the future, but for now, let see what the life shows !

Took our campervan on the touring side and had a caravan for other family members. The caravan was on a new extension area and was great. The touring side facilities however were very disappointing. I appreciate that the whole site has recently been taken over so hopefully the touring facilities will be updated soon. Staff were friendly and explained why the access to the beach that we were expecting was no longer there. With 2 grandchildren with us this was a big disappointment
