What a disgrace. Five months ago I reported and complained about the lifts out of order. And here we are in December with no lifts working again. One permanently broke and the other lift hit and miss. Disabled people can't get access to the train station via the interchange. They have to take a extended journey down Eldon Street to get to the train station. And the same if you get off a train. No access to the interchange! Management at the interchange don't care, otherwise they would have sorted those lifts out months ago. Shame on the interchange Management
Barnsley interchange is a very busy place, well organized. Plenty of shops and cafe's. Looks modern and clean all round nice place to be
Extremely large male very possessive over me showing my ticket, I had explained my phone had died and I was waiting for charge and I’d be able to show him my ticket as soon as my phone turns on. He then continued to be on my case whilst I was waiting for my phone to charge which I found creepy and uncomfortable. Completely understand policies regarding train ticket but this situation was uncalled for as I use northern rail almost everyday to commute to work and the one time my phone died I was put in an uncomfortable situation. Eventually showed my ticket when my phone turned on but this situation could have been resolved in a much better matter if this specific male was calm and just allowed my phone to charge.
The smell of egg or cheap bacon fills the station and makes me feel sick. No proper communication about bus times delays or cancellations. Hot in summer cold in the winter. It's the lack of real time information and the stench from the cafe it can some days be quite distressing to stand there fighting back the vomit from the racid smell of eggs and cheap bacon and not knowing when it if the bus will arrive. I usually wait a stop away from the interchange. It's only good for the toilet or keeping out if the rain so desperate times. Please do something about the awful smell.
Nice area to stalk others, especially at night👍🏽🥀.
