The service we received was at the very highest quality.The attention to detail was excellent and everything was explained at every step of the process.The young lady we dealt with was Danielle she was very professional i would highly recommend
I would give zero stars if it was an option, the customer service department is atrocious, we had an issue that still hasn’t been resolved after 5 weeks, no one gets back to you despite promises that they would, you have to keep chasing them, this would be shockingly bad under normal circumstances but considering it’s at a very sad and emotional time it’s just shocking, there’s absolutely zero empathy and you’re made to feel that once you’ve paid you’re done with and just a nuisance if you contact them.
Cannot thank the people of this place enough. When my grandma passed the care they took with her & us as the family was incredible. Special shout out to Hannah, Alan, Sam & Becky who all went above & beyond for us. ❤️
Poor service when organising a funeral for my mother Not enough attention to detail when staff attended the first meeting to arrange the funeral. The process was as bad as buying a car in a dealership who's staff where on a bonus or target driven incentives Estimate given was not very accurate particular on services provided by the Church The staff even completed the paper work with my name wrong the form lacked details of my coop membership. There was great emphasis on ensuring that you can pay for the funeral service requested with talk of checking my financial credibility. It was not explained the difference between a tailor funeral or a basic funeral What happens when the headstone is removed to dig the grave Where is it in storage and who is responsible to get it back in the church burial ground when the grave has settled We agreed a date for the funeral and time of the service only to be told two days later that the date and timing would have to be changed which was clearly as a result of the Funeral company trying to fit an additional funeral in to the day for another family On the day of the Funeral every thing did not run to time with the Cortege arriving at the Church 10 mins early saying that there was concern about road works on the route. At the funeral arranging meeting we specifically said my mother only wanted one spray of flowers on the coffin in church and when it was brought in to church it had the family flowers and two other displays The result was the service was completed and the internment in the church burial ground completed 20 mins earlier than anticipated making the family feel it was rushed . The documentation received following the funeral was very business like . The invoice did not follow the lay out of the estimate and was not very clear. Additional cost were added for a test dig which was not explained at the time. The invoice included details of a Sun Life policy which was taken out by my Mother in 2011 with was linked in Partnership with the Coop in which a further £250 was taken off a funeral cost. Clearly when I organised the funeral the contract estimate which I signed was with me and I did not receive any coop member discount. I complained and the matter was referred to the Coop LEGAL TEAM who ruled that the current terms and conditions did not allow two discounts been paid . This is looking at the current arrangements now that the Coop selling funeral plans and the arrangement which my Mother had entered in to were on completely different terms and conditions. and I would qualify for a members discount A very poor service
My whole family would like to express our deep appreciation of the highly professional way in which Holly and the other staff at Cooperative funeral care handled my grandmother's funeral arrangements. Nothing was too much trouble. Our family felt that we were supported in a sensitive, compassionate and respectful way. I can't recommend them enough.
