I have been a customer of Halfords on many occasions over the years having work done on my cars by them, MOTs, as well as having bought bikes from their stores, and having bought many parts and care care products. Their staff are well trained, helpful and professional. I can highly recommend them.
I visited your Barnsley store today and found the assistant in the car accessories section extremely helpful. She spent a considerable amount of time helping me chose a product (NOCO Boost Sport GB20). She also informed me about your motoring club and I saved £5. She then explained about your car mechanic visiting service as I informed her I may need a new car battery. She helpfully gave me a leaflet and explained how the service worked.
On Arrival to the Barnsley Halfords with my Grand daughters bike for service and repair, we were asked can i assist you with taking the bike upstairs for you. I was impressed. A young man called Jack assessed the bike and stated that it required a Silver service, new chain and some new cables for the Brakes. The bike was ready 24 hours later. I was amazed that it looked like a new bike, talk about going the extra yard. He had cleaned the bike to the highest of standards. Outstanding customers service one again from the Barnsley branch. highly recommended.
I arrived at least 15 minutes before my appointment to have all headlight bulbs changed, the young man who was to fit them took only 15 minutes to complete the job, brilliant service!
As usual no one was serving. I went in this morning to buy a £55 cannister of oil. I was the only person in the store. When I walked in, there was a staff member behind the counter but, hey presto, when I took my purchase to the counter, he'd gone. Not the first time this has happened. I waited, and waited but there wasn't a staff member to be seen. I'm a working man, I don't have time to be standing about on the off chance someone might turn up to serve me. In the end I left, frustrated and without the oil that I needed. I just don't understand the management at this place. How are we expected to give you money if your store is devoid of staff?
