I want to offer a different perspective to the one star reviews which often seem to be based on a single negative encounter. I have been with this surgery for just under 10 years and I predominantly get to see same clinician (Dr Umar who is an excellent doctor ⭐️) I work in healthcare myself and believe me when I say this I am incredibly particular when it comes to my own care. Over the years I have received a lot of support from the practice team for both minor and more significant health issues. I have been treated by APCs, GPs, physiotherapists, practice nurses, had my travel vaccinations here as well as various screening tests. You name it, I have probably experienced it. I have always found the care to be very good and competent. My prescriptions and admin requests are dealt with quickly, phone calls are answered. I can always get appointment when I need it, the triage process is reasonable and the reception staff have been helpful. The surgery also continues to make improvements in care and service delivery which is great to see.
I have been with Beeston Village Surgery just over two years and I have found them to be extremely helpful. In contrast to my previous GP surgery, Beeston Village have an efficient telephone service where I have always been able to reach someone for further assistance. In addition, the doctors themselves have been welcoming and always call me in accordance with the regular check ups. I also never feel that I am keeping them longer than the initial scheduled time slot. I'm very happy with their service and would recommend to others who live in south Leeds area.
This surgery has gone down the hill. From Rude Doctors, Receptionist. You ring GP thinking u feel better, but the Reception makes yr symptoms worse. Dr Randawa ws one of the best doctors, A listening & empathy doctors he was, unfortunately left. Many of doctors at Beeaston Village are so rude, don't give you time to explain . Thinking of changing GP 🤔 . Zero star .. When did Receptionist become Medical, to actually detect whether a patient my see a doctor. Is it because of colour or ..
I had a very disappointing experience when speaking with a member of staff (Julie) at the reception. Each time I tried to explain my concern, she repeatedly cut me off mid-sentence, saying “sorry” but not allowing me to finish what I was trying to ask. She came across as unwilling to help, and instead of listening, the call was terminated on the basis that I was being rude—when in fact I was only trying to express my issue and ask for support. This left me feeling dismissed and unsupported at a time when I really needed clear communication and assistance. I believe reception staff should provide patience and understanding, especially when people are calling about sensitive or urgent matters. Unfortunately, this interaction left me with a very negative impression of the service.
Lady who did my ultrasound scan today was absolutely professional. She made my visit comfortable and hand over information to her Colleague behind Curtain in also professional way. That was the most comfortable scan in my life.
