The best customer service ever. The amateurs at o2 call centre cancelled my phone number. After 2 days of trying to sort it over the phone, I got nowhere. I went to the o2 shop at Whiterose Shopping Centre so try and resolve the issue snd get my line connected again. Due to some technicalities, there were certain things the guys in store were unable to do, so they called o2 for me... This again was like banging my head in to a brick wall... Asim, Aysha and Fahima left no stone unturned for me. From allowing me to use a personal phone, (I have no idea why this could not be done via the landline especially due to the fact that I had no phone thanks to their incompetency), to Entertaining my 5 year old child, they had me covered. Again I got told on the phone it would take up to 48 hours to get my phone back up and running. Simply not good enough when the error was theirs and I had already spent 2 days trying to sort it. I was ready to walk out and go with another provider and leave my account closed. Asim, Aysha and Fahima, however, had a solution and thanks to their knowledge and great customer service, it worked. I cannot thank them enough. They sorted in 10 mins what the people in the call centres couldn't sort for 2 days!
Extremely disappointing experience at the O2 store in White Rose. I visited to ask a simple question about the Samsung S25 Ultra 5G 512GB, which the O2 website clearly shows as available for click-and-collect in-store. What should have been a straightforward enquiry turned into a frustrating waste of time. The first store assistant I spoke to was completely unhelpful and seemed to have no idea how to speak to a paying customer. They lacked basic product knowledge and showed little interest in actually helping. I then asked to speak to a manager, hoping for better support. Unfortunately, the manager was no better — dismissive, unable to understand a very simple query, and offered no meaningful assistance. Instead of resolving the issue, they made the experience even more frustrating. For a major network provider, this level of customer service is unacceptable. Rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. I expected far better. They need to train staff better with customer communication i wouldn't put this review as ive already spoken to 02 representatives over the phone who has confirmed to check one of the store . They dont like it when you have more knowledge them
I visited the O2 shop in the White Rose Shopping centre with my husband, must’ve been late November last year. Sorry for the late review but I promised at the time that I would give one as the attention and care given by the staff was so good. We were looked after by Heather and then Scarlett and we were very impressed with their knowledge and how they both gave such good advice. They were both very enthusiastic about helping and supporting their customers and we would not hesitate in recommending this store to anyone wanting to purchase a phone.
A big thank you to Faheema who dealt with my changeover from Pay As You Go to a 12 month contract on my phone. She was so helpful and knowledgeable. We did encounter a few hiccups but Faheema sorted everything very professionally. She is a great asset to your team. Please pass on my thanks to her. Thank you again.
I walked into the O2 Store in the White Rose shopping mall last after starting off by going into Vodafone (my current contract was with them), I was looking at renewing for a 17 Pro Max 2TB in Orange and from the get-go I was appalled by the in-store service given by the manager at Vodafone. An abhorrent tone of "Welcome to Vodafone" as if it's 1996 and no smile, I explained what I wanted and he said "Well I don't know what you need 2TB for but we'll have a look but please don't waste my staff's time as we have a busy queue with it being pre-order day today" I said well as a customer I decide if I would like to buy or not! Anyway the customer service skills were completely off the mark and it put me off. I then walked into 3, who were all sat with customers and nobody approached me for 4 minutes. The fella who came up to me asked what I am looking for and I explained he gave me a brief insight about pricing on his phone because there was a 1 hour and 30 minute queue to been seen to, again no smile at all. I then walked across to EE, where I was greeted by a gentleman who said "Y'alright, can we help ya?" I said I hope so and then sat with a 'Guide' who looked as if she had no clue what day it was nevermind what the new features of the phone are all she was doing was blabbering on about EE-One £20 discount. I asked her "Do you think the center stage camera feature is any good?" She goes to me "I don't know, we haven't even been told about the stuff in the new phone." safe to say all they care about is broadband and making commission. Finally, my hopes were already derailed after the 3 encounters I had been through but I ended up at O2. As soon as I walked in the vibe felt completely different to the rest of the stores! Colleagues in good spirits smiles everywhere customers having a laugh with each other. A tall smart gentlemen standing at the front of the store (Amaan the manager, I think that was his name was sorry if it's wrong) greeted me instantly. Nothing like the rest he smiled and asked me "Hiya Sir, how are you today!" It made me smile and I replied "I am alright but I could be a lot better if you can help me out with my mission" he chuckled and replied "There's never a mission that's too difficult for me usually but what can we help you with today then?" Anyway after having a good old natter with him and him making me and my wife laugh around 4 times in 2 minutes we got to the nitty gritty. He explained their queueing system as they had 7 people ahead roughly a 48 minute wait and also asked us if we had any other things to do in the Centre, we were hungry so Me and the Mrs went to get a bite to eat and he took our name and number to message us. I was amazed because 48 minutes on the dot I get a message to return and he had an advisor Summayh ready for me to serve me. She was absolutely brilliant, she kept us in a good mood and really went into the attention to detail for us. She got the boss Amaan involved to see what manager discount he could conjure up and together they tailored up a mega deal for me and the wife. A Virgin Media bundle, 2 iPhone 17 pro max 2TBs, 1 iPad Pro and 2 Ultra 3 watches! I want to make clear I never do reviews (as I am a Head of Sales for a large tech firm so it's usually hard to impress me) but hands down this was THE BEST service I think I've ever received in my 47 years of living and going in to retail stores. The humour, the trust, the rapport was perfect and I must say Summayh was a great advisor however Amaan really stood out to me I saw the way he was supporting colleagues whilst being ready to greet customers and on top of this bringing a positive light to those around him. Upon leaving Amaan asked if we were happy with the service we received and again had a laugh with us "I am guessing we can both class that as mission successful then ey?" and I replied "Maybe a bit too successful for you son" absolutely brilliant Manager even the wife loved him! 🤣 Well done to the O2 White Rose team particularly Amaan & Summayh. - Zack & Leayah
