Bistro Saigon

Bistro Saigon

About

Description

Bistro Saigon is a delightful, authentic Vietnamese restaurant nestled in the heart of Ilkley. It is co-owned by Head chef Loc Bui (originally from Saigon) and his business partner Laura Collier.

Loc has devised a mouth-watering menu based on family recipes passed down the generations with a few of his own twists. There is an excellent range of fish and seafood, pork, beef, chicken, duck and vegetarian dishes. Key ingredients include ginger, lemongrass, chillies, fish sauce and an array of fresh vegetables, herbs and spices. Although chillies are widely used, the spiciness of the dishes can be cooked to your liking. Typical dishes include ‘Caramel ginger chicken’, ‘Pho’ (the classic Vietnamese beef noodle soup) and ‘Spring roll noodle salad’.

The reviews for the restaurant are consistently excellent and it’s easy to see why with the winning combination of fantastic food, relaxed and friendly atmosphere and good service. This is a must for all visitors to the area, a truly unique culinary experience. Booking is essential if you want a table at this hugely popular little bistro!

Conveniently located in the centre of town, Bistro Saigon is opposite the taxi rank and just a two minute walk from the bus and train station.

Open Tuesday to Saturday 11:30am till 2pm for lunch and from 6:30pm for dinner.
