I recently had reason to see a GP at Carlton surgery. From making the appointment, having a face to face consultation with a GP, having tests and a second consultation with same GP - I couldn’t have received better service. The practice team were extremely efficient and effective in responding to what I asked for. Thank you all so much for all the hard work you put in day in and day out helping your patients 😃.

As a brand new patient I was so impressed by the surgery. Dr. Ebi had taken time to read my notes in preparation for the appointment and was patient and had time to listen to all my concerns. The receptionist, whose name unfortunately I did not catch, is an absolute star - kind and friendly to everyone whilst very capably, quickly and efficiently handling every issue that came up. These things make a huge difference to patients who may attend feeling vulnerable and unwell, and are very much appreciated.

This GP is the most useless and unprofessional practice I have ever experienced. What happened to ringing up for an appointment? They make you fill an online form out and they will consider seeing or they will merely diagnose you online via your symptoms. My husband tried to get an appointment as he had severe issues with his stomach. He did as advised by the GP and filled out an online form. The doctor diagnosed him within minutes with food poisoning and provided online guidance. It later transpired that he did not have food poisoning but Colitis which can have lasting/damaging effects if gone undiagnosed. He has now been in hospital for over 24 hours. This could have been prevented if the doctor didn’t misdiagnose him and gave him an appointment to check him over in the first instance. How can a “doctor” diagnose somebody based on their perceived symptoms without seeing them, triaging or speaking to them? I can honestly say the system this GP has in place is atrocious and it does not work! It’s an easy way of fobbing off instead of providing the care that people need. Face to face contact is an absolute MUST when in need of care however you have to beg for an appointment at this GP and even then, they will still advise you to fill an online form in. This GP falls massively below the standards of that of a reasonable and competent medical practice.
