Found this little gem on the way home from Nottingham. Got here just after 11:30am so we ordered a drink and had a look at the menu. After 5-10 minutes we ordered our food. Ready for when the kitchen opened. The pub it’s self. This is a very clean well maintained and pleasant pub. I could not find any negative things to say about its appearance or how clean it was. A really beautiful warm and welcoming pub. Even to the point of having a table for dog treats and water. The staff were very friendly happy and chatty. The chap who served us was really attentive and seemed nothing was too much. This is why I always think good service pays off because his attitude and service made our visit just that little bit better than the already great visit. The food. The food we were waiting for about 20 minutes for. Now you have to understand that the kitchens only opened at 12 so 20 minutes from kitchen opening to food on the table was quite good. The food looked really good. I did think when I saw the fish that it would not fill me tho. Boy was I wrong. The quality of the meals was first class. I could bang on all day about the taste the quality and the portions but to experience what we did you’ll have to go there yourself. The food was without a doubt fantastic I struggled to eat my last few bites but I did as I did not want To leave a crumb on my plate. Having never been here before I can say in the words of Arnold “I’ll be back” Overall a truly perfect experience for both food and service. Thank you thank you thank you thank you
There were 2 bar staff who were lovely however my party and I (only 3 of us) were waiting well over an hour for food. We were very close to asking for a refund and leaving the premises
The hosts were wonderful. There were a few niggles with our order - not sure if the comments that were added to the online booking were pulled through to the system, and the payment at the end was a bit strange too with a deposit being paid; however everything was rectified for us. Overall we had a wonderful Christmassy get together and will be coming again. Thank you!
Brilliant service from all the staff. All the food was delicious. Really nice atmosphere. Good price especially with my blue light card. Will definitely be going back.
This review is more for the service as we never got to eat. We ordered our food & drink through QR Code, drinks arrived & we were told there was a 40 min delay on food. Shortly after the drinks arriving. a member of our party was taken ill. Asked if we could cancel order, staff very understanding & gave full refund - even for drinks.
