Great lodge and jacuzzi. The location is perfect. Though only 1 frying pan could have done with a small one for frying eggs, otherwise brilliant
We loved our stay in Herdwick! Private garden with hot tub, definitely made the most out of the hot tub after walking one of the peaks. Everything you need in the cabin, extremely comfortable bed and nice and warm! Great location, walkable into Hawes and no further than 1 hour for various walks around Yorkshire Dales.
Unfortunately this site no longer welcomes tents and motor homes. Real shame as had been using this site for 15+ years. Appears new owners are not wanting to accommodate true campers and are offering the usual hot tub packages. This was a lovely site with an amazing location but it seems owners have spoilt it with greed.
Absolutely fantastic base camp for a few days hiking the dales, shepherds hut was very cosy, had everything you need plus a hot tub for those achy legs
We have just come back from here, we stayed in the Herdwick, it was just me and my husband and what a fantastic time we had, the hot tub was fantastic, the views were amazing and Tina and Alan where so lovely and welcoming, thank you so much and we can't wait to book again. From Alison and Les
