Chapel Gallery Bunkhouse

Cycling weekend with Harrogate Tri club. Rode to Bunkbarn, evening in Hawes, and rode back next day. Lovely and clean, ideal location, great cafe almost opposite. Booked a meal at local pub and spent the evening at the Barn, comfortable whilst chatting before we got some sleep. Three shower rooms were nice, new and clean. Nothing bad to say about it. We certainly hope to use it again.

I stayed here for 2 nights prior to the Spine Challenger North race. It was the perfect location, everything about the hostel was perfect. Ellie, the owner was just lovely and made me feel very welcome. It’s a great place to stay if you are walking the PW as it’s 2 minutes off the trail. Definitely recommend to friends . Thank you

Great location for a stopover on the Pennine Way. The place is clean, beds comfortable, no hassle with booking and checkin is fast and easy. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare a straightforward dinner. The living room has comfortable couches and the bathrooms are accessible (one bathroom is fitted out for people with disabilities) and clean. Bike rack and drying room on site.

Newly renovated basement of the old Chapel. (Gallery and cafe above) Providing 5 beds in each of 2 bunkrooms. A modern kitchen many homes would be proud of and lounge area. Great little drying room with dehumidifier. Underfloor heating making it very comfortable. Great base for small groups of friends to cycle or walk in the local area.

I received excellent communication via email with Ellie that runs the bunkhouse. We 6 cyclists turned up after an extremely wet ride. The drying room was a very welcoming facility. A powerful hot shower before we could relax in the well laid out lounge/kitchen area. Very good kitchen facilities. The beds were extremely comfortable and everyone slept well. We enjoyed pub grub at The Fountain. There is a pizza shop opposite the bunkhouse. Easy check in and Safe bike storage. We are hoping to do it all again next year.
