Hewn Yorkshire

There are truly no words to fully capture our stay at Hewn Yorkshire — it was a haven of peace, calm, and relaxation. From the moment we arrived, the owners and their team were wonderful: always greeting us with a smile and making us feel so welcome. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and it’s clear how much pride they take in ensuring guests have the best experience possible. Mum and I had the most amazing time. The location is stunning and, despite all the lodges being occupied, it felt so tranquil — the only sounds were birdsong and wildlife. Waking up to rabbits grazing outside our door was magical. Our lodge was beautiful and had everything we needed — a real home-from-home. The wellbeing sauna spa was a highlight; we booked it daily and loved the glass front with breathtaking views of the Dales, followed by time on the terrace loungers overlooking the meadow. Pure bliss. Every evening, we lit our fire pit, roasted marshmallows, and enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub — the perfect way to end the day under the stars. Hewn Yorkshire is a true gem. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and a slice of luxury in the heart of Yorkshire, I couldn’t recommend it more highly. We can’t wait to return!

I spent a couple of nights at Hewn Yorkshire with my partner and would 100% recommend it. The site is peaceful and relaxing, with charming villages nearby, so there was always something to explore. The hot tub on site was a lovely bonus and made the stay even more enjoyable. The service was outstanding—everyone on site was incredibly friendly and welcoming, truly a 10/10 experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hewn Yorkshire. The setting is so peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect countryside escape. Our room was beautifully designed and comfortable, with every detail thought through. We especially loved the hot tub and fire pit, which made the evenings feel extra special. We had a really peaceful stay and just spent most of the evening watching the stars (and satellites) from the hot tub. A sauna with a view was also a great experience. Highly recommend.
