White lodge Cottage

Stayed here in Autumn and it was lovely, a really loved and cared for cottage. The cottage had everything you needed and the rooms clean, spacious and comfortable. You do have to give a cash deposit to the owner upon arrival which you get back at the end of your journey. The living room did sometimes get a bit nippy, but there was a log burner and plenty of logs, so we did have that on most nights. Thirsk is a little market town with a Lidl & Tesco supermarket right next to each other along with lots of independent retailers. There is also a small independent cinema in the town too! The train station is close by and in reasonable walking distance. I would say the town is easy to get to by foot if you are just ambling along on a dry day, might not be as fun with arm loads of shopping.

We had a lovely stay, a beautiful property, in a lovely rural setting. Very close to Thirsk, which is a picturesque market town, also close to the railway station. The downside of the property is the under floor heating which isn't very warm. Beautiful level gardens as well.
