Woodland Lakes Lodges

Me and my partner stayed here and it was the perfect reset we needed. Was such a warm welcome with the receptionist on arrival. Staff hwre are very helpful amd took out there time to help us order a takeaway, although they also have two different types of restaurants which again good and staff was lovley we enjoyed this so much that we thinking of having our wedding reception here. 5 star all the way

The Lodge we stayed in was a pet lodge by the lakeside. The view was beautiful but quite outdated. There was no WiFi and the signal was very poor. We had a sub contractor turn up to fit a new thermostat which I thought could of been organised better. There was a problem with the boiler, which we needed to call the maintenance team out twice and also a problem with the smoke alarm. No parking outside the lodge is also a negative, I've never stayed anywhere that you can not park beside your lodge. On a positive note there is plenty to offer with a sports bar and a little shop. Also if you like fishing you would definitely enjoy this place. Overall a mixed opinion on our stay.

Great little site. Pool is excellent. Lodges clean and tidy, very efficient hot tub service. Make sure you are prepared to cater for yourselves, bar and restaurant not too great. When were there the restaurant was closed for two nights for private functions, shame really.

Recently stayed in Birch Waterside spa (pet) accommodation. On arrival greeted with a smiles at reception but minimal interaction due to business. First impressing lovely. Site has lots to offer, swimming no pool, parks, cafe and bar restaurant. Lots of lovely fishing lakes to walk near. Accommodation was very clean but also basic - no cushions on sofas or outdoor seating. We paid £52 per dog (small dachshunds) and there was no small gestures for that. Not even a pet water bowl. For that price per pet I would have expected a small gesture as previous lodges there has been dog packs put together. Although I knew this prior to arriving the lodge area downstairs was not enclosed which was difficult for the dogs to toilet. Having an enclosed gate at the front would have been ideal. We had some issues with the hot tub (it was like a warm bath most of the time) within the 3 day stay it was self emoting itself and needed topped up twice by staff. Overall it was a lovely stay and it was only a five minute drive to local pubs, town centre and supermarkets. Just a few minor things that made the stay less appealing to come back

We had a great stay at Woodland Lanes Lodges for 2 nights in October 2025. The hot tub was quite secluded and the duck pond setting was lovely. The restaurant that is 5 minutes walk away served good pub food. We ate an excellent meal at the Black Horse at Kirklington which is approx 15 minute drive away..it was well worth the journey. We would visit again.
