Landlord John Wyke and his carefully selected team of new and existing staff took over at the beginning of December 08, turning the place around in a short time. Old and new customers are welcome to enjoy a great atmosphere and customer service, as well as delicious food and drink which is now available throughout the pub and can be enjoyed with breathtaking views from the extension.

Since the beginning of December 08, a new kitchen has been installed complete with a team of chefs who are full of new ideas. The exciting menu includes fresh home-cooked food with pub classics, incorporating a snack menu with fresh sandwiches and jacket potatoes, using food sourced from local suppliers.

Now established as one of the best Pubs in the United Kingdom, the pub won the much coverted Thwaites Pub of the Year award, aswell as Best Food of the Year earlier in 2011.
