After reading the mixed reviews thought I would give it a try. I wasn’t disappointed. The shredded beef was exactly as I like it, a little bit chewy, pecking sauce was nice just could have been spicer. Chicken with ginger and spring onion was delicious. Really tasty. Only let sown was the Salt and Pepper chips. Hardly any onions and peppers. Big portions.

Tasty, prepped quickly, big portions. Biggest sweet&sour chicken balls I’ve ever seen! Only down points for very “rustic” cut veg, crispy chilli beef wasn’t as crispy compared to other Chinese places and seaweed is good old kale that doesn’t even pretend to be a seaweed.

I was hoping that the mixed reviews were that of people who’d maybe just had the odd bad dish. Having drove an hr round trip (as we’re out in the sticks ) for this I really wanted it to be good. Egg fu young - salty scrambled egg (I’ve always had it more as an omelette ) with bland rubbery chicken Beef with mushroom in black bean sauce , chewy bland beef with soggy mushrooms in a watery salty gravy (not a black bean in sight ) Plain chow main - chewy noodles , who knew that was such a thing , bland with a funny smell . Crispy chilli beef , chewey soggy beef not a crunch in sight with a super thick sauce no spice what so ever . Salt n pepper chicken .. this was the best dish but nothing wow as not a hit of salt n pepper seasoning or spice . And the worse of all was the satay sauce, not a peanut or peanut flavour in sight , it was one of the worse things I’ve ever put in my mouth. I would say the portion sizes were generous but that’s where the positive starts and ends .

Tonight New Year’s Day poor service had to wait in the takeaway 1 hour 10 mins we were told it would be 15 minutes when asked why it’s taking so long they said that they lost our order. A regular customer but I won’t go again sadly the food was below par..
