Some good size fish in this place, but it needs heavy investment there is no proper defined pegs most of the time you lucky to find a bit of bank to pitch up. For the amount of money this place takes, they do very little maintenance. The ground is hard and difficult to get pegs in even with a mallet. They need to start introducing some sort of booking system as well as just showing up doesn't work most of the time its full and you can waste 40 mins driving around the suspension killing tracks looking for a spot. Copley and kendal are the only lakes worth fishing. Howe is over run with weed and near impossible to present your bait. The owners are friendly and welcoming though and they pretty much leave you in peace to fish. they do have a toilet and shower block and tuckers tuck shop which is great. Bait is available from the bailiff and tuck shop. I would like to give them a 5 star as they do have decent facilities and are friendly with some decent fish but there needs to be improvements like actual pegs and the track improved around the lakes and maybe some sort of booking system or signs at the top gate saying there full or something.
Seen the adverts decided on a recce run out so took my wife. Firstly it's difficult to find the only clue I found in the village was a small sign with a fish on it. Finally found a gate with a sign and a dire warning that "cows with calves can be aggressive". So carefully lifted the frayed blue rope that was the gate fastening after jumping up and down shouting cows bugger off and through to a bumpy track maybe a good half mile long that wasn't bad really if you kept the speed down. Came to another gate no sign no indication but looking through I could see 200 yards away a rusty oil drum with Net badly handwritten in white paint. This gate however was surrounded with about 20 of the said cows N calves. All I could see through the gate was what looked like a cross between a farm yard and a working quarry, no indication of a fishing Complex. Now the fishing may be superb but for me it has a long way to go before it is a place I want to spend my leisure time in. For goodness sake improve the access make it welcoming make it nice. I did a three point turn and came home. Hope they turn it round another good place to fish is always welcome
