Catterick Lorry Park

Its free hgv parking, toilet and there is a brilliant chippy over the road what more do you want

It's free, Co op is across the street, it's got a portable toilet, that's clean, there's not many spaces so probably better arrive early, I turned up around 5pm there where a few spaces left, makes a change from overpriced service stations, 🐻‍❄️

Good bits: Free Portable toilet on the site Quiet Pretty much safe Shop and takeaways 5min walk Bad bits: Tight for articulated trucks Blind spot reverse No proper spin around place.

The cafe over the road is closed, but there's a Coop. Portaloo was working and not filthy when I visited. Space for wagons and coaches. It's FREE! Always my favourite price!

No amenities within the lorry park itself. It can fit about 15 lorries. Very handy if like me you run out of drive time and can't make it to Leeming Bar or Barton Truck Stop whilst on the A1. Free parking is why it gets more than 1* and also army barracks is more or less next door so army patrol constantly circling area on night time so less chance of getting your curtains slashed/load broken into. Make sure if you're unloaded to have your backdoor and curtains slightly open anyway. Co-op, chippy and Off License nearby, and as from January 2019 new takeaway open selling pizzas, burgers and kebabs.
