Should be an option to give no stars My car went in with an engine light. It ‘needed’ the dpf sensor replaced. Couldn’t get it in that day so it stayed overnight. Next day they hadn’t been able to get something off and needed more parts so could it go back Monday. Monday the parts hadn’t arrived, then they were struggling to clean something. Then the exhaust temp sensors needed replacing, and the pipe needed replacing because it had been damaged although they said they’d cleaned it the previous week. Changed my tires but didn’t pick up on a track rod end that needed replacing They had my car all week, no phone calls keeping us up to date. Me chasing them every day for updates. More work than quoted for, they damaged parts and charged us for them. All in all it cost us over £1200 Today’s kicker, gone to another garage for an MOT and the engine light is back on with the temp sensors showing a fault again. Damaged ABS sensor and the failed to notice track rod end. Totally disappointed and disgusted in this garage. Would not recommend, even for a light bulb charge. Waiting for report from current garage to present to these cowboys re the temp sensors. Stay clear. You’ll end up worse than you started.
Used this garage for a number of years now. Not only do they look after my company vehicles but also my personal. The workmanship is always to the highest of standards. And making sure my vehicles are safe. The added little bonus is that they wash all vehicles after a service to make sure it looks it’s best when you collect it. Keep up the amazing work.
Had a flat tyre Sunday evening so went into the garage first thing Monday morning, being a runflat tyre they quickly managed to order me a new tyre in to be delivered and fitted it before lunchtime. Girls on reception were super friendly and a great price too. Brilliant service thankyou
I took my car to this garage for a brake fluid change, and it came back showing a chassis fault that wasn’t there before. The garage said the fault appeared during the change of break fluid and that a shock absorber plug had snapped. I later took the car to another garage, who advised that the damage likely happened while the brake fluid was being changed. As a result, I ended up paying £559 to put it right. It’s really disappointing, as the car went in for a routine job and came out with a costly fault. I’d recommend anyone using this garage double-check their vehicle carefully before and after any work is done.
If only I could give 0 stars. Back in April, I had my car towed to Garrison Garage after booking it in via reception. I told them from the start that the timing chain had gone, but of course, they said they needed to carry out their own diagnostics. Fair enough, or so I thought. Four months later, I finally got the car back, completely unfixed and in a disgusting state. It had clearly been dumped outside and left untouched under trees, now covered in bird mess, dirt, grime, and dead leaves. I drive past the garage every day and can confirm the car never moved from the spot it was dumped in. I rang for updates multiple times during this period. Nathan, who answered occasionally, rarely knew what was going on. And the owner? An absolute nightmare, rude, aggressive, condescending, and downright nasty. He talks over you constantly and then throws a tantrum when you do the same. “Little man syndrome” really does come to mind. To make matters worse, the garage sends emails with links asking you to authorise work. I only approved diagnostics and an oil change, but they went ahead and did additional work I never agreed to then tried to charge me for it. When I challenged this and stood my ground, the owner backed down and removed some of the charges, including the £15 per day storage fees, which had apparently been racking up since the day the car arrived. Let that sink in — they didn’t touch the car for 3 months, then told me they couldn’t fix it, and still tried to charge me over £900 in storage. How is that even remotely fair? I was bullied into paying for some things I hadn’t agreed to, simply because the owner was so aggressive and unpleasant that I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. He clearly knew he was in the wrong, but still made the experience as miserable as he could. When I arranged for the car to be recovered on a Sunday (which the garage agreed to), nobody showed up. I tried emailing, calling, Facebook messaging — no response. For the record, you can’t even message their Facebook page — probably for this exact reason. I eventually had to call site security to get someone down there so I could collect my car. Since getting my car back, I called Sadlers, and in just two phone calls, the right parts can be ordered and the car is scheduled to be repaired. It really shows what a proper garage with trained staff and decent communication can achieve. In Summary: - Car sat untouched for 4 months - Now covered in dirt and left outside - Poor communication and unreturned emails - Work carried out without consent £15 day storage charges added from day one, what on earth? - Owner is rude, aggressive, and unprofessional - Facebook messages disabled, no easy way to get in touch when phone lines are off - Only backed down on charges when challenged Do yourself a favour and stay well clear of this garage. I’ve never dealt with such incompetence, arrogance, and bullying in my life. My friends were right, everyone recommends Sadlers over this place, and now I understand why. How this garage has a single good review is beyond me. When I commented on the state of my car he said 'I cant help nature' this is negligence not nature.
