Stopped in our Motorhome as just off the A1(M). Had a v nice bottle of red wine and they were happy to let us park overnight. Extremely helpful staff. Wine markup extremely reasonable (does everyone check the prices online😉). Definitely recommend and will put it on our pub stopovers list😀
So I cannot rate the food as I haven't had it here. I've visited this pub twice, once as a patron where I had a drink with friends and it was nice and warm inside with a pleasant atmosphere, filled with chit chat but without it being too noisy. The drink I had was a great price and the tables were not sticky like you can get in popular pubs. My second visit was recently as an entertainer providing glitter and bubbles for a Christening event who had booked the marque and low gated off area outside the pub. The owner and staff for the day were both friendly and helped point me in the right direction for where to set up, even helping to move the tables across so there was room for me, and fishing out the power extension I would need. The space was a great shelter from the worst of the wind and it did let a lot of sun in (when the clouds weren't in the way). It was clear the customer who had also booked me had been able to adjust the outdoor space to whatever she needed for her guests including decorating. The inside hadn't been moved about as much but the only main change was a table for the buffet food (Unknown if the pub provided this food). Positives: Friendly and welcoming, with comfortable seating and inside and outside hire available. Negatives: Car park has lots of room but no marked spaces so guests would need to be considerate.
Ignore any review over 2 years ago. New management since then. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, staff and landlord especially friendly. No food (which is fine options in Boston Spa) but a wonderful place for a pint, snacks and a chat. Nice outdoor area for a drink with a suntrap in the evening. The perfect village pub.
First time at this venue. Love the setting in a village but overlooks the countryside. Management have pulled this pub together, it went down with the last Management so I didn't get the chance to try it out. Busy day and all was great.
Fantastic village pub with a friendly, cosy feeling. Good choice of drinks and very reasonably priced. Credit to the landlord and landlady, Steve and Sam for making it the place it is. You're always made to feel welcome by them and all the lovely bar staff.
