The Green Howards Museum

The Green Howards Museum

About

Description

Three hundred years of service and sacrifice, bravery and friendship. We tell the fascinating story of this famous regiment through the lives of those who served. The objects in our collection come from many different sources, but the collection itself started through the interests and collections of a few key individuals.

Over time, through diligent collecting, and generous donation, the collection has grown.

From stunning silver to impressive uniforms, ‘Mousey’ Thompson furniture, paintings, medals, musical instruments, military equipment and personal items such as letters, notebooks and photographs, there’s lots to explore over the three floors of the museum, in the centre of Richmond’s market place.

We have special exhibitions, talks and family activities.
