We went for lunch after a walk and I have to say this is a truly excellent place for a lunch. Wide range of food. Excellent vegetarian, vegan and GF menu/options. All our food was very good. Mushroom pie exceptional. Wide range of beers and some excellent local brews. Sadly not enough time to sample them all. Friendly helpful staff. Good price. Warm inviting atmosphere with great view from the restaurant area. If you're passing, or going for a walk around Dacre the Royal Oak is a must.
A warm and welcoming pub with a friendly reception from the landlord and landlady. The 2nd time we have chosen to eat here whilst staying locally on a weekend break. Both our meals were outstanding accompanied by a great view and atmosphere. Would highly recommend the belly pork which was cooked to perfection and by far the best I've eaten in a long time. We will be back!
I just popped in for a quick pint, a great pint of Timothy Taylor's. Very friendly and helpful staff. Haven't had a chance to eat here yet but the menu and especially the specials menu sounds amazing with lots of seafood options. I shall be back soon and look forward to trying the food
I cannot comment on the rooms, we only called in for dinner. Parked in the village and walked up to Brimham Rocks. After a nice walk out it was only right that we call into the local public house for a well deserved meal and beer. I will keep it simple... the welcome was polite and friendly, the beer was spot on, the menu, was varied enough, but also not that big to be confusing. The food!!.. perfect!!! We had, Royal oak burger, Hunters Chicken , and slow brazed lamb shank... All meals were fantastic, and for me.. without question some of the best food I have had while out walking in a long time. I will be returning in the future as its well worth a visit.
Reservation made well in advance for a group for dinner and we turned up to find the place closed. Checked their Facebook page to find it closed due to staff holidays. No phone call to advise so a wasted trip... Reply to the reply... I'd believe you if we didn't have a phone call in the log to your phone number when we made the booking...
