In Focus Denby Dale

Having recently moved into a lovely rural location (Chapel Haddelsey near Selby in North Yorkshire) with fabulous views to the front & rear my wife and I felt the need to invest in a good quality pair of binoculars... and so we searched for shops selling them. We were drawn to In Focus in Denby Dale because it was fairly close but also had good Google reviews. We noted a gentleman called Dave was mentioned in a few reviews and upon calling into In Focus we met Dave for the first time. A real down to earth honest guy who I have to say was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Fabulous guy in every respect. We were made to feel very welcome and great advice was given. There is a viewing platform so you can try out any of the binoculars which is a great idea. After discussing the different brands and how you actually use a pair of binoculars we decided to go in at the deep end and opted for the Swarovski brand. We bought a pair each, you only live once and there is nothing worse than living to regret not spending a bit more. £5000 might seem a bit over the top but the clarity and light makes them a no brainer. Location: 10/10 Customer Service: 10/10 Parking: 10/10 Range of products: 10/10 Prices: 10/10 Dave: 11/10....... shame to have only met him once. Update: we are now using our binoculars on a daily basis. We are so lucky to be able to sit in our own garden and look out over acres of land. (See video) Kestrels, owls, robins, pheasants, tits & finches…. Love it! Helps to have a gin & tonic too.

Absolutely fantastic experience at In Focus. Dave, the owner is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does—he took the time to understand what we needed and guided us to the perfect pair of binoculars. The shop has a great selection, with plenty of options to choose from, and we really appreciated being able to try different models to find the best fit. Super friendly and helpful service from start to finish. If I could give 6 stars, I would! Highly recommend.

Dave has always been very helpful and informative whether purchasing, cleaning or repairing my optical equipment. A class act who will be a hard act to follow. Enjoy your retirement!

Dave was a great help in choosing my binoculars yesterday. Listened to what I was after, gave very sound advice, brought me several pairs to try in a range of prices and then gave us space to try them out without being at all pushy. Brilliant service, we'll be back! Thanks Dave 🙂

Dave was very helpful explaining the different binoculars available in my price range. He gave me plenty of time to try different ones out and not in the least bit pushy.
