This is my local Boots and I visit it all the time. It’s truly one of the last nice shops left in Doncaster town.😁 I want to give a big thank you to Ella, who helped me today and made sure I got the best deal on the face creams I was buying. The store was about to close in five minutes, yet she was still incredibly polite, patient, and attentive. Thanks to her I didn’t miss out on the offer that ends tomorrow.😊

I usually have very positive experiences shopping at Boots, which is why today’s visit was so disappointing. While being served, one member of staff repeatedly looked my mother and me up and down in a way that felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. After scanning my Boots card, she asked for student ID. Although I understand that staff may need to verify discounts, I have never once been asked for student ID in the past few years, even on occasions where I have spent significantly more than £40. I showed her my unidays, but she insisted on photo ID. I want to be clear that I don’t have an issue with being asked for ID if it’s store policy — however, I bought a couple things not even an hour before and the lady that served me was so nice but the manner in which it was with the second lady, combined with the unpleasant looks she gave throughout the interaction, was unprofessional and made the experience uncomfortable. Staff are paid to provide customer service, and customers should not be made to feel judged or disrespected while shopping. It’s a shame that one interaction was enough to ruin what is normally an enjoyable shopping experience at your store. Hope some staff can get a little more customer service training.

Praise for Tina at Boots, Doncaster Frenchgate I would like to highly commend Tina for the truly exceptional customer service she provided during my visit to the Doncaster Frenchgate Boots store today, Saturday, October 11th. I came in looking for advice regarding an acne breakout, and Tina was a genuine pleasure to deal with. She immediately put me at ease and demonstrated a deep commitment to helping me find the right solution. Tina took the time to listen to my concerns about my skin, clearly demonstrating her experience and excellent product knowledge by making thoughtful and effective recommendations. Her skills are evident not only in her consultations but also in her execution—she matched my skin tone perfectly. She went above and beyond by helping me purchase other required items and ensured I had a complete, positive shopping trip. Tina’s service was not just attentive but also thoughtful, as she highlighted how I could save money and earn points on my Advantage Card. Because of Tina’s expertise and outstanding care, I left as a very happy and satisfied customer. She is a credit to the Boots team.

I shop here regularly and normally it's a good experience. How ever on my last visit I used the self check-out and of some of the things I bought a couple were reduced price. 2 wraps, I thought the total didn't seem right so I asked an assistant and she said it was correct, turns out the wraps went through at full price, instead of 1.00 each 3.38. I didn't think as I was in a rush and just assumed the things I bought weren't on 2 for 12.00 as stated on the shelf. Until I paid I didn't realise the wraps went through for 6.70 instead of 2.00. Assistant on self check out couldn't do refunds so directed me to the counter next to no.7. The assistant was rude and told me that as they were reduced and went through full price she couldn't issue with me with a refund. I stood my ground and said that I am not going to be charged 6.70 for what was meant to be 2.00 paid, I have retail experience myself and know your not allowed to make rules like that, customer pays the price on the ticket and that is final. To top it off she said she was having problems refunding me the difference and had to just refund the total cost and I had to repurchase the wraps so expected me to buy again after being over charged way too much and acted like it was my fault. Such a bad experience!
