Front tire was unfortunately irreparable due to a screw. It's good to know that a replacement was fitted promptly. The service was provided at a decent price. This kind of efficient resolution is always valued. Thank you for the quick response
Only 1 star because you can't leave 0....lets begin, please read, its long... I booked a reduced fee MOT online as like we all do in today's rise incosts,we try to save money. Arrived on said day/time to be told there were no MOT testers in (sickness & day off which we accepted and no contact number held, but they would've had my email to let me know, but hey ho!) Re-booked 2 days later. Arrived on said day/time, left car and advised to return in 1 hour. On return, informed that the MOT tester had refused to carry out the MOT as the petrol fuel light had started flashing. Even though there was mileage still available, and also even when I agreed to nip over the road (literally over the road) to quickly top up the fuel. This was still refused. Now getting annoyed. 3rd date booked in 2 days time arranged! This time I sat and waited. After 45 mins or so I was told our car had failed its MOT. Major fail on both front suspension arms, Minor on track rod end, Advisory on exhaust leaking & service brakes (bear in mind the brakes & service was only done in May 25! ) Quoted £315-£340 just for suspension arms alone.! Knowing this not to be the case, we re-booked our car at a reputable garage of which I had always used before (note to self, don't book a discounted MOT just to save some pennies!) Surprise, surprise, car passed the MOT with NO ISSUES, and with the technician citing the 'apparently failed points' not even worthy of advisories. They even even pointed out 2 nails in 2 of my tyres to keep an eye on (one which my partner knew about) but both of which were NOT found by this garages MOT tester! Luckily, my partner is an ex MOT tester with 35 years experience, he always maintains our cars and so we knew there should've been no issues. However, anyone else could easily believe what is being told to them and pay up! I feel we were being ripped off without a doubt, but also messed around in the process leading up to this. Safe to say we will not be returning to this shoddy excuse of a place. Discounted MOT's aren't always the way forward as they will look to recoup the cost! Stick with where you normally go, but if you're looking for somewhere, don't go here either!
"I had a major issue where my car vauxhall corsa exhaust system completely came off while driving. I brought it to [Garage Name:Formula One Autocentre Doncaster] and [Mechanic's Name:BEN] handled the repair. He was an absolute life-saver. He quickly assessed the damage, explained the necessary repairs clearly, and had the part fitted faster than I expected. The price was also very fair. His professionalism and dedication to quality work are outstanding. I truly appreciate the quick turnaround. I will definitely be using their services again. Highly recommend this mechanic!"
I’ve used F1 for years so haven’t had any thoughts about reading through reviews. Had never had a bad experience and I’m going back to at least 2008/9. Not always in Doncaster as I’ve used them in Northants and Rotherham too. Have spent quite a bit with the company over the years and like I say always great. Now, little bit of an issue after the last MOT. Lets say a miscommunication but due to illness I hadn’t chased it up. That’s on me I guess. Did spend approximately a grand for them to sort the car for its 2025 MOT. Fast forward to this week. I’m mid sorting the car and getting the MOT fails sorted. Have left with more questions than answers. Very stressed about it all and because of my illness I do know that I tend to get stressed quite easily. But, leaving this evening I didn’t feel reassured or particularly confident. Something just felt off. Reading the reviews just now I am hoping that all will go well in the morning. I will let you all know … ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ is an average because its not over yet so can’t really rate as usual.
If I could leave no stars then I would stay well away I took my car in for a new alternator. They initially quoted me **£620** for the job, said it would take a maximum of 3 hours, and promised I’d have the car back the same day as I needed it urgently. I dropped the car off on **Wednesday, 26th November**, at 9 a.m. I didn’t hear anything all day, so I called at 4:30 p.m. They then told me that two additional parts were needed, increasing the cost to **£690**, and that the car would be ready by **Thursday**. On **Thursday** lunchtime, they called again to say the alternator they had ordered was the wrong one. With the correct alternator and the other new parts, the total would now be **£1,280**, and it would still be done that Thursday. I went to collect it that evening, but the car was not ready and would now be completed on **Friday**. On **Friday**, they informed me that the car needed to go to Citroën for coding. Later that afternoon, at around 4:30 p.m., they called again to say another problem had been discovered. They were investigating it, a further new part was required, and the car would now be ready on **Saturday**. In the end, I didn’t get the car back until a week later. When I finally collected it, I discovered they had caused additional problems and damage to my vehicle. Three weeks on, the car is still not fixed properly—the air conditioning doesn’t work, the side skirts are damaged, and various parts are missing. I’m now **£1,160** down Iv posted this on Facebook aswell the amount of people who have commented and said bad things is actually concerning place needs looking in to. Customer service are just as bad and don’t make it easy to get what you need all full of excuses
