Premier Inn Doncaster Central (High Fishergate) hotel

Nice staff. A bit shabby inside to be honest. TV had a white band at the top of it like the panel was starting to go. The shower constantly dripped. The bathroom was very dated and not like on the photos and paint peeling off the ceiling. Clean linen though and towels. Lovely comfy bed. Noisy as lots of traffic about and it was like the window was open but it wasn't as you can't open the windows. Overall ok for what I paid but if I'd have paid full whack, I'd have been very disappointed.

I’d like to extend a huge thank you to the team at Premier Inn—especially Lucy—who went above and beyond to make our stay truly exceptional. I stay here often and always receive great service, but every now and then someone stands out so much that you just have to say thank you. When I arrived, I was clearly tired from travelling and had requested a room with a view of the nicer part of the city. Lucy made every effort to accommodate this, and I really appreciated her care and attention. But it wasn’t just that—her professionalism, friendly manner, and thoughtful communication were outstanding. She struck that perfect balance of being approachable yet professional, which is something many struggle to achieve. It’s clear that Lucy genuinely cares about her role and about the guests she serves, and that makes such a difference. Whether it’s the result of Premier Inn’s excellent training or a reflection of the quality of people you hire, there’s a lot other employers could learn from you. Thank you once again for all that you do—I’m already looking forward to my next stay.

I recently stayed at the High Fisher Gate Premier Inn and was really impressed with the service I received. Jill, in particular, stood out — she was exceptionally friendly and helpful from start to finish. She greeted me with a warm smile, took the time to answer my questions, and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It’s clear she genuinely cares about guests and goes the extra mile to make them feel welcome. Thank you, Jill, for making my visit such a pleasant experience!

This is my 4th visit to the Premier. Always the friendliest greeting. Jill was on reception & I must say she is a credit to the Hotel, with her warm smile and welcoming conversation, nothing is too much trouble for her, also this was the 1st time i have had breakfast. We had the all you can eat continental. Porridge was lovely as was the pancakes. We were looked after by the lovely Bernie, who again couldn't have looked after us more. Another credit to the hotel. Definitely the only place I'll stay when visiting Doncaster.

First and foremost, really lovely staff at this hotel. Reception staff are very polite and helpful. Even though Premier Inns are a budget choice, the rooms leave a little to be desired. Worst issue during my stay, was drunk, semi-naked men running around the corridors making a nuisance of themselves and intimidating other guests. You could argue that's not the hotels fault, but they shouldn't be letting guests continue to stay in the hotel with that level of behaviour. Underwhelming.
