Decent place for a walk, it's a shame people leave litter everywhere. Peaceful and quite, good walk around, lot larger than expected
Few Greylags, few Canada Geese, 1 Moor hen and couple crows. Not much for the twitchers. Thought the pond was lacking plantlife, no reeds, no rushes, looked very bland imho but maybe theres reason behind it. Few kids fishing, water looked clean, good paths all round. Was very quiet.
Beautiful and serene. The water can be so still it is like glass and stunning reflections can be seen. Lots of ducks, a few swans, geese and rabbits. There is a choice of three routes - short, medium and longer. Very safe for well behaved dogs as it is enclosed.
Absolutely love this beautiful place. Its so lovely walk round with our dogs, and sit on one of the benches to relax and take in the scenery around us, always so quiet and peaceful
Why does every piece of the countryside have to be dog walking places? The site is managed by Yorkshire Wildlife trust and they say "strictly no dogs" due to the presence of birds.
