Cliff House Holiday Cottages

We had a fab stay at Cliff House Cottages in July. We stayed in the Granary. The cottage itself was lovely and clean with everything you need for self catering. The bread, milk, cake and marmalade was a lovely welcome to the cottage and very thoughtful. The swimming pool was great! Our young daughter loved it and the rota system worked well. The gardens and grounds are just beautiful and we loved visiting the chickens and ducks. Jacqueline and Alistair were lovely, very friendly and helpful, Jacqueline was also really helpful via email before our stay when I had some questions. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend cliff house and have done! The location is also great, very close to lots of lovely places and the pub that is a short walk was nice too. We would definitely return! Also, the owners beautiful cats were very much a highlight for us they were so friendly and our daughter adored them! Thanks for a great holiday ☺️

We have just returned from an amazing week’s holiday staying in Orchard Cottage. The cottage was very clean and had everything you might need for a home from home holiday. The welcome pack (including the best lemon drizzle cake ever) was such a lovely touch, as was the welcome from Jacqueline who showed us round the gardens and into the pool/ games room. Our grand daughter is autistic and a real water baby so the swimming pool was a huge success, and we were delighted to see that each cottage was allotted their own swim time. The gardens were very calm and the chickens and hens were a big hit too. Lots of places within the gardens to sit and enjoy the sunshine and tranquility. Very well placed for all the local amenities with lots to see and do. Local park was a lovely gentle walk through the pretty village of Ebberston. All in all we had a lovely week and can highly recommend CliffHouse Holiday Cottages -our grand daughter quietly made herself at home (which is quite unusual) and was calm and relaxed throughout the holiday. You won’t be disappointed at CliffHouse ! Thank you for a lovely time.

We had four fabulous days in Apple Cottage. It was wonderful, the cottage is perfect for 2 and the grounds are amazing. There is a pond in the woodland area that was brilliant for watching bats in the evening. Jacqueline was lovely and had left us bread, milk, jam and homemade cookies (very yummy homemade cookies). Everything was very welcoming and relaxed and well thought out. There's a swimming pool and games room, so between that and what is in the cottages, you have everything you need for a really lovely break. I would highly recommend Cliff House cottages as a base for anything in that area of North Yorkshire, you are close to York, Malton, multiple seaside towns and several good wildlife locations, including RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Definitely hoping to go back again. Really, really enjoyed my visit.

Our visit to Cliff House Holiday Cottages was one of the best weekends we have had as a family. The hostes could not have been more helpful and accommodating. From leaving the pool open later on our first night to having milk, bread and homemade cookies on arrival. The cookies were delicious and the kids made short work of them. The cottage was immaculate and had all of the amenities needed for a family, and some I didn't realise I needed! The pool was clean and so much fun and the grounds were beautiful. We will definitely be going back.

Really enjoyable stay at Cliff House Cottages. A great location with easy access to the coat. The facilities and gardens were great especially the pool. The host could not have been any more helpful - the homemade biscuits where wonderful.
