Called in from work to get some create your own pizzas at 5:33pm, but no-one was there, so I asked the Manager, and the response was that the Pizza maker was on her break and would be back after 6pm so I would need to wait... Really... there's no-one else that could cover while she takes a break. And it wasn't only me in the queue... Very poor management.

Had a member of staff (trolley man) tell me off the other day that a woman was pissed off with me cos she wanted to park where me and a friend were catching up that’s why she gave us a dirty look. There was plenty of other places to park and I am severely depressed at the min so speaking to my friend and getting in her way did not help but then getting told off by the trolly man was the final straw…. We were at the back off the car park. Will not be using this store again people should realise life isn’t always perfect for people and I don’t need him to tell me off like I’m a stupid child. Won’t be using Asda again

After being regular customers at this store for around two years, my partner and I thought we’d seen it all. Unfortunately, our latest visit proved us wrong. My partner went to buy some beer and, as usual, got asked for ID — no problem there, he’s used to it. He’s shown ID countless times to staff here (some who recognise him by now), and it’s rarely been an issue. This time, however, the member of staff refused to serve him because he didn’t have the physical card on him — fair enough, if only that had been explained politely. Instead, when he tried to show digital copies of his ID (multiple forms, in fact), the staff member called over a supervisor or manager — hard to tell which, but definitely someone in charge of being rude. The manager arrived, immediately dismissive, raising her voice and getting far too close to my partner’s face. She curtly informed us they don’t accept digital ID — again, understandable policy, but perhaps the first member of staff could have communicated that instead of escalating it. At this point, my partner calmly said we wouldn’t bother spending our money here anymore and asked them to return our shopping, which we’d already packed using Scan & Go. We started to walk out when things somehow got even worse. The elderly security guard (grey hair, clearly taking his role very seriously) slammed his foot in front of my daughter’s pram and began shouting, demanding to know “what’s under your pram!” as if we’d just robbed the Crown Jewels. He didn’t ask — he accused. For the record, it was just a rain cover. To make matters even more ridiculous, I then noticed a small £2 pack of dehumidifiers that hadn’t fit in our bag on top of the pram. I immediately handed it back and apologised, explaining it was an honest mistake amid all the commotion. Despite that, the security guard continued shouting and getting in my partner’s face, accusing him of stealing. Keep in mind: we hadn’t even left the store. Then another manager arrived (because apparently one wasn’t enough) and started shouting about the ID situation again, before dramatically declaring that we were “barred from the store.” Honestly, that was probably the best news of the night — who’d want to spend money somewhere that treats paying customers like criminals? And one last note — maybe check in on your staff. Most of them look absolutely miserable, which, judging by how management and security behave, doesn’t surprise me one bit. Oh, and to the overzealous security guard: you’re working at ASDA, not auditioning for a spot in the next Power Rangers reboot. Take the cape off, mate.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ONLINE WITH FOOD SHOPPING, they ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS DELIVER FOOD DAMAGED PARTICULAR THE MEAT SECTION AND WE ARE FED UO OF THROWING IT IN THE BIN, the online portal is always down and because this happens every week doesn’t let you refund the items. AVOID IS OUR ADVICE

I’ve now had the same frustrating experience 7x times at ASDA accepting an Uber Eats order only to wait over 30 minutes each time for the order to be ready. What’s worse is that this isn’t just a one-off issue at a single location it’s happening at multiple ASDA stores. Other supermarkets like Iceland and Co-op only notify drivers once the order is prepared, which shows respect for drivers’ time. But ASDA consistently requests drivers before the order is even close to ready, wasting our time and reducing our earning potential. It’s clear there’s a widespread issue with poor work ethic and a lack of appreciation for delivery drivers across ASDA stores. We’re part of the service too without drivers, orders don’t get delivered. It’s disappointing to see such disregard for our time and effort. All uber drivers avoid this store This needs to change.
