I love going to Birley Moor Aquatics! It’s my favourite aquatics shop to go to and weekend activity! 95% of my fish and shrimp I purchased here and have never had an issue! The main reason for me becoming a regular patron at the shop is due to staff, specifically Kaitlyn she’s incredibly knowledgeable in all the livestock they sell, you can instantly tell she is passionate about their welfare! As a woman it can be quite intimidating at times becoming a hobbyist in a male dominated field but having Kaitlyn there makes it more accessible! Really cannot praise her enough for all the advice she has given me!
fantastic staff, thanks for all you help michael kaitlyn and Chris. Been coming here for a few years and are always helpful with any problems that i have and offer great advice and ideas on what fish i can and can't have in my tank. The new fish store has come along way since the new owner took over. Best of all the honesty you get from them. Would highly recommend these guys if you are thinking of getting in to the fish keeping hobby or already in the hobby with the fish school that they started up.
Lovely place. Small but they have a a wide variety of beautiful fish, some I've never seen before, and some accessories I haven't seen anywhere else. Staff were nice and helpful. This was our first visit and we'll definitely be going back.
Visited today from Barnsley after our usual go to centres were very low in stock. Birley offers an amazing selection of tropical fish and the prices were reasonable too. Staff helpful and we managed to get accessories that others don’t stock too. All in all a great little shop. We will be back.
Lovely place and nice lady who served me, when i came they had a delivery, bunch of new fish. I got a betta, he's settled in nicely
