Ellerton Park

Great Lake for swimming, good toilet/changing facilities. A bonus is that there is a car at the bottom of the lake for scuba divers and it’s always fun trying to find it when you’re swimming. Can’t wait for my triathlon here in a few weeks!

This is a great place to come for water activities. We often come here for paddle boarding as a family. It has just had a facelift and a new hut for payment and parking. It cost £10 per adult and £5 per child to go out on the water. It's a great thing to do with family and spend the day out on the lake.

Lovely lake in a lovely area with friendly helpful staff, decent sized carpark and nice grass area to sit and eat lunch or chill and watch etc. café just up the road if you want to use it, food is good, coffee is fresh. Only thing I would say is that there are lots of weeds in the lake (obviously as it’s now summer) doesn’t spoil the fun for paddle boarding but I don’t know about swimming. Go! Give it a try and have a wonderful time! We’ve been many times over the last 2 years and will return again soon 😁

So many rules it spoils what could be a nice day out. The ladies attitude to the customers is poor at best, they even charge for spectators after spending £15 pp to paddle board.. Far better paddling on the Tees at Preston park, free parking cafe children's play area etc...
