The bhaji was a disappointment needing much more seasoning and perhaps a bit more spice which left concerns for the mains. However the steak was very well seasoned and the red cabbage had excellent flavours. Portions were large and we were too full to move onto dessert. Service was friendly if a little erratic. A little hit and miss but not a disaster making it reasonable value @ Β£35 a head with a drink each.

Simply Amazing. A very warm welcome followed by excellent food with impeccable yet friendly service. The whole team went over and beyond to provide us with an exceptional meal that we will not forget. Excellent !

I just had a BLT and the most delicious handmade rhubarb crumble. I would say the Crumble was the star as it was freshly made just for me, and the smiley waiter Valentino served it. I like a happy server! The atmosphere is pleasant and service was actually fast to say it looked like Valentino was flying solo. I think the BLT was a bit pricy at 13:50 but you do get fries or salad with it! The shandy was great, I like Moretti! I would come back again, but next time I’m booking Afternoon tea and I’m bringing my dog!! Not many places that are small dog friendly. They actually have a 25% off discount between 12:00 and 16:00 week days so it actually turned out to be quite reasonable. Side note , Chris was very friendly but wouldn’t say the word Scone for me. Maybe next time he will! I forgot to mention I received a lovely rose at the end of the day from Valentino. Thank you. You made my day!!

We visited Rhubarb restaurant as we were staying at Herriotts Hotel and the only reason for our stay was to try the vegan tasting menu. The restaurant was lovely and modern with nice lighting and we had a lovely table for two. The food was fabulous, beautifully presented, piping hot plates, full of flavour and perfect portions for a tasting menu. The service at front of house was great too, a young team who were brilliant. We did some research as to which wines were vegan on the menu and ordered a Sauvignon Blanc which was actually labelled vegan on the bottle. I spoke to chefs Callum and Joe who had never actually cooked the vegan menu before and I have to take my hat off, they did an absolutely stunning job. I can't fault the experience at all and we will definitely return as I believe a new vegan tasting menu is due to be released.

Sorry but Festive menu very disappointing, from cold soup (which was remedied) to average turkey with dried out roast potatoes and other below par vegetables and a lack of decent gravy. One saving grace was nicely cooked salmon. Unfortunately the desserts did not fare much better.
