You can park here for the cycle way that lies on the disused railway. In particular is it useful for the York Solar System Cycle / Walk - it is not far from Neptune! Be warned - the car park is a bit rough, I would not be taking a ground hugging car with low profile tyres in here!
Small, remote area of wasteland down a steep dirt track…park here at your own risk but if you want the cycle track you’d be better off parking in Riccall.
Interesting bit of history. The station is no longer there but you can see where the Sidings were and the boards tell if the history of the line and the local coal history
No sane person would call this a car park
Nice walk with no puddles to avoid despite the rainy weather. I'm sure it should be Escrick and not Escruck though 🤔
