Waingate Cottage Motorhome stopover Aire

What a true gem this is, Ruth is so friendly and welcoming and the setup for motorhomes and self contained campervans is perfect. The location is nestled on the edge of a small beautiful village within a working farm. The only sounds are those of chickens and farm animals. There are 5 pitches each with electric hook up, chemical disposal and fresh water. There is also a large drive-over area for grey waste water disposal. We originally were planning to stay for one night but ended up staying for two as we loved the area so much. We were lucky to pick up some fantastic fresh eggs from Ruth’s hens too! A perfect setup for a night or two, just keep in mind there are no toilets or showers so it is really designed for self contained units only! 🚐

Site a few miles above Kirby Moorside 2 of the 5 fully serviced pitches were a bit close together but massive big field where you could choose to pitch without electric. Nice & quiet villages to walk/cycle to for a pub.

Enjoyed our two night stay at Waingate Farm. Lovely walks straight from the site. We stayed on the field. Lovely views over the farmland. Pub in Gillamore is a very short walk away and friendly. We would return.

Nice little site, very quiet, situated in the village of Fadmoor. Owners are friendly but not intrusive. Site is quiet, only the sound of the farm animals, sheep, cows, chickens are noticeable. All amenities, black, ehu, grey, fresh water are available. Would I return? Yes, defo. BTW, the owners have a Motorhome too!
