Fantastic service Mick and the guys went out of their way to help when my semi automatic gearbox failed drastically. Specialist guys did a specialist job that no one else wanted to touch. We can’t thank Mick enough for getting our camper van back on the road, very reasonably priced too. I can’t recommend these guys enough.

Mick has quite literally saved our holiday. He called Tuesday morning following an email I'd dropped in on Monday evening. I explained problem, my car was with him by Tuesday lunchtime, and despite clearly been very busy, has managed to get me all sorted by Friday lunchtime. New bearings in Ford Kuga gearbox and it sounds and drives like a new car! I'd have no hesitation whatsoever recommending. Clearly knows his stuff, and a thoroughly decent bloke as well. I have a classic car and the clutch went on it. Towed it to MDS Tranmissions we're I spoke to Mick the owner, who got me booked in and went to work. Had my car three days sourced all the parts needed and got the job done and my car back to me. Great service, great price and Mick and the team great set of lads highly recommend! Thank you.

I was struggling with getting my car into gear, then it got stuck in reverse so called out a mobile mechanic who said it felt like there was no pressure when putting his foot on the clutch. Mentioned it could be the master cylinder. I had it towed to MDS on the Wednesday morning, for them to phone me Friday afternoon saying I may aswell come and collect my car as they can't find anything wrong with it. Of course the following day again it wouldn't go into gear. Called recovery out, straight away after trying the clutch he said it had gone. Looked under the bonnet, said it was the master cylinder plus the hydraulic fluid had dirt in it and was a murky colour rather than clear. Clearly MDS Transmissions don't have a clue what there doing or they just couldn't be bothered repairing it. Either way I don't recommend them.

Probably the rudest person I've ever met? Better off avoiding this place unless you want to wait two days before he even starts being rude and saying he may not do the job? His sons okay though, but the dad has some personal issues he really needs to work on! (Edited because the business owner responded by lying below) "The customer" asked for a receipt for the work THIS garage was supposed to do! The car was taken to this garage because "the customer" broke the clutch (one that was 2 years old and had nothing to do with this garage) and regrettably took the car to this garage to get the problem fixed. I'm assuming the 5 star reviews are from friends? Read the one star reviews people, they are always more telling! Also there's garages in LS9 that could do this work cheaper and get it done in a day or two rather than having to wait a week and having to put up with a rude (and lying) mechanic here
