We stayed for a couple of Nights in the Linden suite, I read the reviews on the day of arrival so was a bit apprehensive but presently surprised. The kitchen in the suite was well equipt and the bedrooms were lovely. Everything was clean but around the bottom of the bath was a little worn and could do with some maintenance. The restaurant and bar were nice, good food and the staff were friendly. The pool and changing facilities were good, we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. Steam room, sauna and hot tub were lovely. The only downside was that the suite was joined to another occupied suite with a locked internal door so you could hear everything, I wasn't aware of this when booking on an external site. Not ideal for the other guests with our dogs giving out an occasional bark and pit pattering around on the wooden floor. we could hear alot of what was said next door and unfortunately we're a family of four with two dogs so I'm sure they heard us also. I felt I had to whisper for the remainder of the stay when they arrived. We would stay again just not in the suite unless we were with family and rented it all out.
Went camping here in July and it was amazing! Such an amazing view from our tent and there was plenty of space. Great place for dogs with plenty of bins and some great walks again with amazing views. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the onsite pub was dog friendly, the food was great too. Had showers cubicles which were hot and toilets were fine with sinks and hand dryers. Washing up facilities were fine too. Would happily return again! 😁
Weekend camping perfect place to stay as everything on site that you need dog walking areas playground for the kids. Shower room toilet block clean all in one toilet shower sink radiator hair and hand dryer. games room bar with good food great service swimming pool sauna and Jacuzzi prebook at the bar I could recommend this to couples family’s or singles Doesn’t have a shop but 24 hr petrol station next door
Great campsite in a lovely location close to many sights to be seen. The campsite has a really nice dog walking area and a really nice bar / restaurant and live music! Kids loved the indoor swimming pool. Will definitely come back.
SPENCER SUITE We stayed in this so called luxurious suite for 5 nights at a cost of £619.00.Ive stayed in BnBs for a quarter of that price with cleaner facilities. The lodge was quite dirty, its not had a good deep clean in along while.Firstly the sofa was full of stains and dog hair, and in-between the cushions was food and bits god knows when it was last hoovered. The floor was dirty bits under sofa, the floor hadnt even been mopped. Also the picture in the living room fell off the wall 3 times, but what do you expect stuck on with sticky tape.In the bedroom under the beside cabinet and skirtings were full of dust and spiders Web.The bedding was horrible, who puts green sheets on a bed. In the bathroom the toilet was dirty hadnt been brushed under the rim,the towels were disgusting don't think they had even been washed, they smelt of mold, discoloured and an hole in one.Around the over flow was also dirty.Dirty mop left in kitchen. Its also facing the bar and restuarant which can be quite noisy of a night, that didn't bother us though, but the prices in the bar did, every time we went to the bar our prices were different. When we told them, there reply was it shouldn't be.The problem wasn't solved and they didn't tell us the correct price. Very disappointed has this was our wedding anniversary and thought it would be abit of luxury instead of camping like we normally do. The only plus I could give this site,is the grounds are kept clean and tidy.
