Stayed in the woodlands all I can say is it's very dissappointing.The outside is very dilapidated and very dirty we couldn't use the table outside because it's filthy.Inside wasn't very good dirty down the side of the bathroom cabinet filter for the shower was blocked by dust and spiders.Dirty curtains with a stain that looks like blood on them.Rusty cooking tray we didn't use anything to cook with too dirty. No internet and the telly is crap no batteries in the remote or the clock on the wall.I won't be returning or recommending this place.our stay was from 17th April to 21st 2025. Boiler cupboard dropping to bits goodness knows what the washing machine is like.Whoever owns this property needs to see what a mess it's in

We have just been and stopped in the woodlands for an Easter break. When we got there everything outside the building was filthy the table you couldn't sit at when the little bit of sun was shining. When we got inside and got sorted out then started seeing things were dirty things down the side of sink in one of the bathrooms. Pipes showing the the bathroom floor. The fan was covered in dust don't think the cleaners look up more dust webs on the ceiling than anything. There was sauce on the curtain in the living room and splattered on one of the kitchen units. And as for the TV useless not battery in one of the remotes no WiFi really in this day and age. We arrived on 17/4/25 and left 21/4/25. Will not be recommending this place to anyone.

We stayed in the Woodlands. The kitchen and bathrooms were dirty on arrival. Furniture needed maintenance to make safe. The beds were appalling. The outside space is dilapidated. Earlier reviews cited the same issues. Michael came on day 3 to fix up the dangerous furniture (NB he’s lovely). Host & Stay offered to arrange for someone to come and clean (again, day 3) but they only did the couple of things I’d mentioned in my message rather than the whole place. I was too busy trying to enjoy our hols to write them an itemised list of what should **already have been clean**. Host & Stay have posters up all over Filey and Scarborough advertising ‘luxury’ properties. I’ve put some photos below of the ‘luxury’ of this property. Host & Stay: we’ll consider your offer of 20% off our next stay to compensate for the issues we raised.

The location is beautiful and the accommodation is excellent with everyday amenities including washing machine,dishwasher etc...a home away from home. It has a lovely countryside feel but is still only short drives away from the busy seaside resorts such as Filey and Scarborough. We will deffinately return and recommend.

Facilities very easy on the eye. But the glasses had to be washed. The coffee maker did not work, there was used coffee left in the machine. Crockery needed washed before use. Only soap in one bathroom. Wi-fi iffy. Couldn't wash dishes in the sink. When you push the plug down the water ran away. Although there is a dishwasher available. Apart from that open plan kitchen and sitting room and bedrooms are spacious. Good value for money.
