Shocking. Lift out of order (what do folk with disabilities do). No waiting room - shut - barely worth opening for half a day - barely any seats on platforms. Had to wait for a friend - awful.

This was a perfect train station for us to use to get to York. We had no issue parking the car and the trip to York was only 25 minutes away. Would recomnend using this station as an alternative to driving to York.

My friend and I were catching a train from Garforth towards Leeds and it was pouring so we were pleased to see that there is a nice covered in waiting room. We went in and there was a couple with a toddler and a baby. No sooner had we sat down when an official appeared and told us all to leave because he was locking the waiting room - this was at 2pm. He didnt apologise - just a total jobsworth enjoying sending people out into the cold pouring rain. And, of course, the train was delayed so it wasn't a pleasant experience. What is the point of having a warm closed in waiting room if passengers are not allowed to use it. And the official who turfed us all out should certainly ask for a refund from the Charm School he attended.

If you are going to use either of the two Garforth Railway Stations, make sure its this one, it has twice as many trains. Even if the Northern Rail ones are often cancelled as occurs too frequently, there are Transpennine Express services too. Randomly for a railway station, there is a lovely little family run cafe/Bistro on site as well as a very, very part time ticket office and a local taxi office. The cafe does lovely coffee, cakes and food during the day, either to have in, or served on the platform, via their serving hatch/window. At night it becomes a bistro serving yet more food on its evening menu as well as drinks.

Plenty of trains available to loads of destinations. Ticket machine and lovely Italian food available. Only downside is no ramp to cross the track for pushchairs and wheelchair users
