Beeyootiful place. Absolutely stunning. Lovely quaint town centre with great facilities. Pubs cafes, public loos, supermarket, tourist centre and a gorgeous river walk where you can walk in the non slippy river or swim in deeper pools in clean cold water. The drive to get there across country was a delight too.
Fantastic spot, super tranquil. No big slopes to navigate so a great way to spend the afternoon, especially if the weather is being kind!
Visited during thier 1940.s War Weekend. Very busy but a great atmosphere and some great exhibits including a Spitfife in the town square. Of course, this is also the location where a lot of All Creatures Great and Small was filmed Incuding the Drovers Arms (Devonshire Arms)
I took a coach load of people on a steam and cruise yorkshire dales trip over the weekend. The feedback from my passengers was 5* They loved the place. Its also FREE parking for coaches. Well done.
Great family walk with the dogs and lunch in the Red Lion. Stunning scenery.
