It is a fairly vibrant place. There are parts in the town past their best but personally nearby Beverley gets all the praise, but personally I find Driffield better.

A very pretty and nice station let down by early facility closing times. There is a cool old waiting room that sadly gets closed at around 1 or 2pm. Ticket office closes at the same time. Very Limited seating is available after this time. There are no vending machines (other than ticket machines). There is a nice shop at the garage 2 minutes away. However, if you're catching a train towards Hull, make sure you're at the platform 5 minutes before departure as the railway crossing blocks the only access to that platform. There are no toilet facilities at this station, despite a poster on the waiting room window saying the stations part of a scheme which means it should have toilets available. The station is accessible for wheelchair users, both platforms. For those less able to stand, as said above, there is very limited seating available after 1/2pm (and possibly on weekends). Northern really need to sort it out so that the waiting rooms at least can remain open later. Passengers are missing out on seeing this jewel. It would also help disabled people access this station too. Trains are kind of frequent and offer services to Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Beverley, Hull, Brough, Goole, Doncaster, Meadowhall, Sheffield, Selby and York. Railcards can make travelling by train more affordable. The trains between Scarborough/Bridlington-Hull-Sheffield often have power sockets at each seat.

Tidy town with a buzz not yet ruined by global companies like Starbucks.

Driffield is a "market town" known as The Capital of the East Yorkshire Wolds. Lots of lovely little independent shops along with some bigger highstreet names.
