A lovely Italian restaurant. Offered a lunch special, which I had, I think the cost of this was £17/18. There was a decent selection to choose from meat, fish and vegetable of starters and mains. There was also a gluten free option on the specials, which I thought was inclusive. Husband had the steak sandwich with fries. Our bill was £50 inc my lunch special 3 courses, steak sandwich, large beer and a diet coke. A service charge of 10% was added bit payable if you wanted to pay it. All staff polite, friendly and professional. A lovely find just walking along Yorks many side streets. The restaurant had a steady flow of customers.

After having a poor experience nearby we stumbled across this place. What a treat, we both had the Philly cheese steak and it was the best hot sandwich we have tasted for a long time. My wife also had a nice Pinot Grigio and I had an excellent magners forest berries cider. Fantastic we will certainly be going back when we visit York again.

We were visiting York this weekend and stopped by this resteraunt on Saturday night. We didn't have a reservation and the place was really busy. That didn't seem to be a problem and within a couple of minutes they sorted us a table and welcomed us in. The staff were really friendly and pleasant and couldnt do enough. We ordered lasagne and risotto with garlic bread and a bottle of chardonnay. When the food came is was super hot and perfectly cooked. The lasagne was full of sauce and so flavoursome. The risotto was perfect with a nice hint of spice throughout. The chardonnay was fruity and sweet and not to dry. The staff were lovely a definite 5*

Everything was 110%, so I paid the optional service fee to thank the lovely staff for the amazing quality food we received. Music was amazing and at a calm and enjoyable volume. Only thing I could possibly critic was the doorbell noise, which didn't seem to complete the vibe.

We hadn't booked anywhere to eat because we were shopping for my daughter's birthday, so we weren't sure on timings, but we managed to get in at this lovely restaurant. We were not disappointed. We shared a starter, had 2 large glasses of wine, 2 pasta mains plus a pudding and all for under £100, including service charge. The food was delicious, the wine was very good and the service was excellent. We will definitely eat here again. Highly recommended 5*****
